{"id":1077,"date":"2021-06-04T09:34:18","date_gmt":"2021-06-04T06:34:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arctic.linguanet.ru\/?page_id=1077"},"modified":"2021-07-13T20:27:39","modified_gmt":"2021-07-13T17:27:39","slug":"%d0%b8%d0%bd%d1%84%d0%be%d1%80%d0%bc%d0%b0%d1%86%d0%b8%d0%be%d0%bd%d0%bd%d0%be%d0%b5-%d0%bf%d0%b8%d1%81%d1%8c%d0%bc%d0%be","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/arctic.linguanet.ru\/en\/%d0%b8%d0%bd%d1%84%d0%be%d1%80%d0%bc%d0%b0%d1%86%d0%b8%d0%be%d0%bd%d0%bd%d0%be%d0%b5-%d0%bf%d0%b8%d1%81%d1%8c%d0%bc%d0%be\/","title":{"rendered":"The second information letter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>THE ARCTIC: DEVELOPMENTS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE HUMANITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dear colleagues,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moscow State Linguistic University, in conjunction with the Institute of Linguistics and the Institute of World History<br>of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Institute for Literary Translation invites you to attend the international conference: <strong>\u201cThe Arctic: Developments from the Perspective of the Humanities\u201d,<\/strong> to be held<strong> in Moscow on the 15<sup>th<\/sup>-16<sup>th<\/sup> of February, 2022<\/strong> within the framework of Russia\u2019s chairmanship of the Arctic Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference is expected to cover a broad range of subjects related to humanities and social science research of the Arctic and the Far North, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>research and description of the languages of the Arctic region;<\/li><li>problems and perspectives of preserving the languages of the Arctic region;<\/li><li>the study and preservation of the linguistic and cultural heritage of indigenous peoples;<\/li><li>language and cultural policy in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic regions;<\/li><li>the art and folklore of indigenous peoples of the North;<\/li><li>the socio-biology and socio-psychology of human populations\u00a0in circumpolar regions;<\/li><li>ethnocultural processes in the context of current social change, the interrelation of traditional culture and global processes in the modern world;<\/li><li>the history of Arctic exploration, the history of intercultural communication in the region;<\/li><li>the development of human capital in the Arctic region;<\/li><li>the development of ecological tourism in the Arctic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of subjects for discussion is not final, and the Organising Committee will be grateful for any further suggestions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The working languages at the Conference are Russian and English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants who cannot attend the Conference will be able to give their presentations via Zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Conference starts at 10 a.m. on <\/strong><strong>15<sup>th<\/sup> of February, 2022<\/strong>, with registration beginning an hour earlier, at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presentations at the plenary session should not exceed<strong> 20 minutes<\/strong>, and the time limit for all other presentations is <strong>10 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Organising Committee invites all those who wish to take part in the Conference to submit their applications (see the form below) and abstracts, in an attached file, <strong>not later than the 15<sup>th<\/sup> of November, 2021<\/strong> to <strong>arctic@linguanet.ru<\/strong>.
